The soccer market has gone crazy !!! There is no other way to say this, when Chelsea make Milan and offer for Kaka for close to EUR 100 million.
on Arshavin supports Zenit in decision to reject Barça bid (2)
However, I think the presidents of some major clubs (Milan, Inter, Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.) have decided to put their foot down and they simply will not spend crazy amounts of money. Many people forget that soccer is a business, i.e. just like any other business. |

Fred,
on Scolari wants to win all competitions with Chelsea (11)
At the end of the day, this guy is doing a job, a very well paid job, just like all the other coaches in this world. I have my doubts about Scolari, because Brazil has never produced great coaches. I know that he won the World Cup in 2002, but, with the players that he had in the Brazil squad, I would also have won the World Cup, and I'm not a coach. |

The way that things are going, I don't think that we'll see any major moves, anytime between now and when the market closes, at the end of August.
on Chelsea reject Inter bid for Lampard (9)
I think that most of the rumours are nothing but a lot of nonsense created by the media. |

Are you Italian ? I would suggest that you update your profile, by including some data about you, where you live, etc., so we all know more about you. Soccerway is like some kind of friendly (sometimes) soccer venue and I think it's nice that we all know each other better !! |

Thirty is a good age for a soccer player. He's still young enough and he's got the experience. After Spain won Euro 2008 with a young team, everybody has been climbing on the band-wagon, praising the virtues of under-25 soccer players. I think a lot of these people will end up eating their own words. Let's not forget that Arsenal choked, with a team of young players, this past season, because, at the end of the day, there is no substitute for experience. |

In Euro 2008, Russia played one of the best soccer matches that I've ever watched, i.e. against the Netherlands.
on No magic to it, says ´wizard´ Guus (4)
At the end of the day, the Russians were too young and inexperienced, that's arguably the main reason why they lost to Spain in the semi-final. However, I believe that Russia will do very well in the 2010 World Cup. |

Maybe you're right. But there is not doubt that LIverpool won that final against Milan, because, on the night, they got lucky !!!! |

Drogba has never played for the French national team. I think he plays for Ghana, or maybe some other country in Central Africa. |
