LONDON (AFP) - AC Milan on Saturday dismissed reports that their Brazilian star Kaka is set to move to Premier League side Chelsea on a world-record transfer worth 80 million pounds.
The Italian club signed his international team-mate Ronaldinho on Wednesday despite reported financial difficulties, and Kaka's personal assistant Diogo Kotscho claimed all parties involved now want the deal to go through. "Real Madrid offered 90 million euros last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kotscho told The Guardian. "This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen. "Because of the situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved. "The move would represent a significant increase in Kaka's salary, on top of the 10 percent transfer fee that goes straight to the player anyway - some 15 million euros. "Chelsea are the club to be at right now. They are building a team to win everything." But AC Milan said in a statement on Saturday: "Regarding the comments, Milan director of communications Vittorio Mentana reiterates that Kaka is absolutely not for sale." If he moved the FIFA World Player of the Year would be reunited with manager Luiz Felipe Scolari who handed him a Brazil debut in 2002 and then included him in the squad that went on to win the World Cup that year. Kaka, 26, is under contract with Milan until 2012. But he was irritated by the club's refusal to let him play for Brazil in the Olympics, followed by their agreement to let Ronaldinho go to Beijing. |

WOW! I HOPE THIS IS TURE!! =)Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 11:59
I hope this is not!Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 12:04
I need an extra-strong aspirin. Can any of my American friends send me one qucikly. Just like Redd Foxx used to say. "I can feel it coming. This's the big one!"Giorgio July 19th, 2008 12:41
I do not believe that Kaka will ever leave Milan. I do not believe that Milan would ever be interested in selling Kaka to any club, not at any price !!!!!Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 12:45
Giorgio, I'm not so sure. With a price tag of over 80 millions. Who knows what could happen. Apparently ACMilan is strapped for cash!dinoitaly July 19th, 2008 13:21
ahahhaha...what rubbish!!don't fear any hope people...ricky will never leave my team simply because we are building for win everything!about the olympics game...dinho har an agreement before become acmilan player so....end of the story!dinoitaly July 19th, 2008 13:22
struggle for cash??/we got the ruichest man in italy...sorry but we are not!kemalokten July 19th, 2008 13:40
it just doesn't make any sense to have both dinho and kaka in your squad.kaka has already agreed with chelsea and milan have added him to the squad to fill the void i suppose...
Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 14:18
But why would ACMilan prefer Ronaldinho over Kaka? Dinoitaly, che cosa vuoi dire?dinoitaly July 19th, 2008 14:24
I mean berlusconi is the richest man in italy...impossible acmilan is struggle for money and we bought dinho and pato for the same amount we sold sheva 2 years ago so we actually should have a surplus of money....and acmilan said that dinho will go to olimpics game just because there was an agreement before acmilan bought him so we respect the previous agreements he had...kaka was acmilan p[layers when he asked to go as well...and we decided to deny the permit to him..and he just come back from injury....acmilan pay him!Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 14:39
Dinoitaly, Va bene! Berlusconi, beside being the richest man in Italy is also the most 'fanfarone,' if you know what I mean! I understand that ACMilan is 50 million in the red. At least that's what its Vice President, Adriano Galliani, said.BesTalentScout July 19th, 2008 15:01
Kaka will be real smart to leave Milan, he can see the disaster looming with him having to bear more of the burden this season.............why ?Milan bought the over-the-hill Ronaldinho and Zambrotta and keeping the other 2 useless farts - Inzaghi and Ronaldo.........
Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 15:24
Bes TalentScout, have you considered applying for the head coach position at ACMilan?BesTalentScout July 19th, 2008 15:32
Tonto,i wouldn't do worse than Ancelotti even if i wanted to !
he's a great player but he hasn't got the brains, using Inzaghi as a lone striker proves that !
Milan will benefit with selling Kaka for 100million euros - you can get 4-5 world-class players for that kind of money !
but 1st, you must write Milan and tell them to dump the 2 brazilian Rons......and everyone there above 30yrs-old.................i'[m dead serious !
Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 15:50
So am I! I really don't have the time to write a letter to Berlusconi. Besides, he may also not have the time to read it. Since you live somewhere in Europe, why don't you go to Rome to speak directly to the Prime Minister. It will be a lot faster that way. At the same time you can ask to be appointed coach. Lucky you!You can kill 2 birds with one stone!Crusader1987 July 19th, 2008 16:12
First if all, speaking as a good capitalist, you can NEVER have enough money.Second, there's always a price. Always.
Third, I agree with the sentiment about great players not making great coaches. Just look at Isaiah Thomas and the Knicks. Thomas was an excellent basketball player, but then he assembles a team of shooters that don't share the ball. Disaster!
Tontodonati July 19th, 2008 17:50
Crusader 1987, are you really a good capitalist? You must run a charitable organization then!Timothy July 19th, 2008 19:31
I wud luv to see em in Stamford bridgeGiorgio July 20th, 2008 09:31
Kaka will never leave Milan. And next season Milan will again be a power to be reckoned with, mark my words.
Last season was merely a transition period !!!!
BesTalentScout July 20th, 2008 13:36
Giorgioas long as they keep all the old farts..........it'll always be transition period.............LOL
Giorgio July 20th, 2008 15:26
TalentScout,You have this thing about all Milan players being old. And some of them are over 30; but they can still play football. And they can play football better than most 20 year-olds in Europe, and in fact, the rest of the world.
So, let's wait and see. I'm willing to bet you that Milan, with all the old farts (as you call them), will do very well.
After all, this is Milan we are talking about, not some other second-rate club.

Let Kaka Go to Chelsea and it would be his graveDaJohnner July 20th, 2008 17:59
Kaka in England wont work. Most Italian league players that make the move dont adjust well...Kaka would be no different. Secondly, Kaka is not Milan's saviour and it will be hard for them to win again without buying officials like they used to, and finally, Milan may have a rich owner, but even rich people have bills and can lose all their fortune if they don't know what they are doing, just ask Donald Trump not too long ago when he lost his billions of dollars and was only lucky to get it back after bankruptcy.Giorgio July 20th, 2008 18:14
DaJohnner,You are obviously a man of exceptional intelligence !! And on top of that you are full of predjudice and racial hatred !!!
That Loser avatar of yours suits you perfectly, there is no doubt about that.
And remember, people like you are not appreciated nor welcome on the Soccerway blog !!!!
ajax72 July 20th, 2008 21:04
Is there a way to keep the chump off this blog?Tontodonati July 20th, 2008 22:47
Giorgio and Ajax, our friend from Canada, DaJohnner, must come from the East coast (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland). In Toronto we referred to them as people wearing the "dinner jacket," a red-blue-green plaid light jacket they wear on the farm and on the dinner table/ They suffer from delusions of grandeur and from a complex of inferiority. They are the ones who, like the pot, call the kettle black!newtonheath1878 July 21st, 2008 10:26
tonto, Dajohnner's arrogance and stupidity is down to his love of Liverpool. All blinkered scousers are like the British Empire in the mid 1900's, long finished and a spent force. Long live the Republic of Mancunia! Red army on the march!!!Giorgio July 21st, 2008 10:34
Newtonheath,Sometimes I wonder whether you are a soccer lover (i.e. lover of the Beatiful Game) or a soccer terrorist (i.e. red army).
And what happened to that nice Devil avatar that you were using until recently ?
newtonheath1878 July 21st, 2008 11:01
Good morning Giorgio, I am a true football lover, Red Army has no links to terrorism it is just a name given to the fans of United, we eat, live and breath United. Check the avatar!Giorgio July 21st, 2008 13:55
Newtonheath,I know that Read Army is the name given to ManU fans. I was just pulling your leg !!!!!!
newtonheath1878 July 21st, 2008 14:22
Giorgio, there was no offence taken. Do me a favour Giorgio, try not to refer to us as ManU, it is a derogative term used by our English rivals derived following the Munich Air Disaster. Peace and love soccerettes!Giorgio July 21st, 2008 15:47
Newtonheath,Actually I will keep on using ManU, or MU, when referring to your team. No offense intended. It's just that, in to-day's communications, many names are abbreviated, because people find it more practical that way.
newtonheath1878 July 21st, 2008 17:34
Ok G, got 2 go now but im sure i'll here from you l8r
